In-principle approval given for bypasses and paved shoulders on NH-42 in Anantapur

An official release said in-principle approval has been accorded for proposals to construct bypasses and provide paved shoulders on a 71.25 km stretch of NH-42 in Andhra Pradesh, from the Andhra Pradesh–Karnataka border to Anantapur (km 4/350 to km 75/600). The works were proposed to address accident-prone locations and safety issues on the two-lane highway as it passes through populated areas and sharp curves.
