₹55.74 crore sanctioned for development around Arasavalli Sun Temple under Swadesh Darshan 2.0

The Union Ministry of Tourism has included the Arasavalli Sri Suryanarayana Swamy (Sun) Temple in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and sanctioned ₹55.74 crore for development activities in and around the temple. The article says proposed works include an Arasavalli Sun Experience Centre, a dome on the sun deck area, a restaurant block, shopping area, supporting infrastructure, landscaping, an open-air theatre, Nagavali riverfront development, and protection of a Dutch heritage structure, among others.
Why it matters
