Foundation stone laid for ₹108 crore 4-lane Guntur–Nambur road overbridge

A foundation stone was laid for a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) between Guntur and Nambur railway stations in Andhra Pradesh, estimated at ₹108 crore. The 668-metre ROB, fully funded by the Ministry of Railways, will replace Level Crossing Gate No. 3 on the Guntur–Krishna Canal section of the Guntur–Nambur line, with construction expected to commence shortly.
Why it matters
Replacing the level crossing with an ROB is intended to reduce road delays at the crossing and improve safety and operational reliability on the rail line.
