Himadri says it has commissioned a 200 TPA anode pilot plant for Li-ion batteries

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd said it has commissioned a 200-tonne-per-annum anode pilot plant under its New Energy Megaproject, and that output is being sampled by global customers. The same report also said the company plans ₹5,000 crore of investment in Andhra Pradesh and is undertaking a ₹2,800 crore capex programme for battery chemicals and advanced materials through FY28.
Why it matters
A commissioned anode pilot plant moves battery-material development from planning into producing material that can be validated by customers, which is a prerequisite for scaling to commercial production.
