ISWM plant under construction and legacy waste bio-mining underway at Kurnool dumpyards

An Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) plant is under construction at the Gargeyapuram dumpyard on the outskirts of Kurnool, and officials said legacy waste at the Gargeyapuram and Joharapuram dumpyards is being remediated through bio-mining. The article also says a ₹330-crore Waste-to-Energy plant has been sanctioned at Gargeyapuram under a PPP model, and the ISWM plant is planned on 9.5 acres at a cost of ₹8 crore.
