A foundation stone was laid at Madanapalle for a proposed three-phase ‘global horticulture hub’ project with an estimated investment of ₹1 lakh crore, according to an official release cited by the report. The project is planned to cover 10 districts via 201 clusters across 303 mandals and 5,869 villages, and also includes laying the foundation stone for the Indian School of Agriculture (ISA).
