UltraTech commissioned Petnikota Cement Works in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh

UltraTech Cement commissioned its ₹2,650 crore Petnikota Cement Works, an integrated cement plant in Petnikota village (Kolimigundla mandal), Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh. The plant adds 3.3 MTPA of clinkerisation capacity and 3.6 MTPA of cement dispatch capacity, and includes a 35 MW wind-solar system with battery storage and a 20 MW waste heat recovery unit, according to the company release cited in the report.
Why it matters
Commissioning this integrated plant increases cement and clinker production capability in Andhra Pradesh while adding on-site renewable and waste-heat power systems intended to reduce operating emissions and grid dependence.
