A modernised drinking water scheme at Nagulapalli was inaugurated on September 22, 2026, after upgrades costing ₹9.59 crore. The scheme is stated to supply safe drinking water to about 97,000 people across 52 habitations in Pithapuram rural mandal, Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh.
Why it matters
The upgrade restores and extends drinking water supply to villages that were previously not receiving adequate water, improving access to safe water for a large population.
