Haier India announced ₹7,000 crore appliance manufacturing plant in Satyavedu, Andhra Pradesh

Haier India said it will invest ₹7,000 crore in a two-phase manufacturing facility on about 250 acres in Satyavedu mandal, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh. The proposed plant is planned to manufacture air conditioners, washing machines, televisions and small appliances, with the first phase targeted to become operational by 2028 and total investment planned through 2032.
Why it matters
If executed, the project would add large-scale home-appliance manufacturing capacity in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati–Chennai–Nellore electronics corridor and create direct and indirect jobs linked to the new plant.
