Tirumala launches AI/VR experiences and streams AI videos to pilgrims in queue complexes
On 2026-09-16, technology-based visitor initiatives were launched at Tirumala, including AI-generated history videos to be streamed to devotees waiting in Vaikuntam Queue Complexes I and II via the new Healing and Devotion Experience Centre in Vaikuntam Queue Complex-I. The launch also included a ‘Durlabha Darshan’ VR experience, a renovated Sri Venkateswara Museum, the ‘Nandakam’ defect-management app for accommodation rooms, a group insurance scheme for pilgrims and volunteers, and flag-off of 32 electric buses for the temple town.
These deployments change the on-site pilgrim experience and operations at Tirumala by adding live-streamed informational content and digital/VR facilities during wait times, plus service-management and low-emission transport support.
