SVU inaugurated a Centre of Excellence in Bioenergy Innovations in Tirupati

Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) established and inaugurated a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Bioenergy Innovations (CoE-BEI) at its campus in Tirupati, with financial support from RUSA Phase 2.0. The centre includes scientific equipment worth ₹1.20 crore such as a BET surface area analyser, gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, a photobioreactor, Anoxomat III, and a Milli-Q water purification system.
Why it matters
The new centre and instrumentation expand SVU’s in-house capability to conduct advanced research in areas including biofuels, waste-to-energy and clean-energy related materials.
