Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh3 Oct 2026
The quantum test lab 'Q-Shiva' was inaugurated at the Pan-IIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada, with the article describing it as comprising five quantum computers and being made accessible as a mini quantum test lab. The same report also says quantum testbeds have started functioning in Amaravati, ahead of a planned larger 156-qubit quantum system.
Why it matters
Accessible quantum test labs can enable local institutions and startups to run experiments and build skills before larger quantum computing infrastructure comes online.
