Adani Energy Solutions acquired 100% of Vizag Power Transmission from RECPDCL

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) executed a Share Purchase Agreement on 2026-08-14 to acquire 100% equity of Vizag Power Transmission Ltd (VPTL) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL), and said the acquisition has been completed. The company said VPTL is planned to support transmission infrastructure for proposed green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the Vizag area, expected to cater to an estimated demand of around 4,500 MW.

The ownership transfer assigns control of a transmission SPV intended to enable power integration for proposed green hydrogen/ammonia projects around Vizag.
