Bihar issued notifications to operationalise the Bihar Ease of Doing Business Act, 2026

Bihar’s Department of Industries issued Gazette Notifications 1270, 1271 and 1272 on October 9, 2026 under the Bihar Ease of Doing Business Act, 2026, putting parts of the law into effect. The notifications set up a “Right to Business” framework that allows enterprises to start operations via a Declaration of Intent and a time-bound Certificate of In-Principle Approval (CIPA), and designate an Executive Committee (via Invest Bihar) as the single nodal agency for investment-related approvals.
