Indian Railways has decided to install AI-enabled CCTV cameras for round-the-clock monitoring in pantry cars and base kitchens serving trains under the East Central Railway (ECR) zone. The proposed system is intended to monitor food preparation, packaging and supply to support cleanliness, quality standards, and corrective action, according to IRCTC officials cited in the report.
