Chhattisgarh launched the TIN portal for tin ore procurement from tribal collectors

On August 31, 2026, the Chhattisgarh government launched the Tribal Incentives on Natural Resources (TIN) portal to digitise tin ore procurement from tribal collectors in Bastar, covering registration, quality testing, price determination and payment. Officials said the portal links tin pricing to the London Metal Exchange and uses Direct Benefit Transfer to pay beneficiaries directly, with QR-based verification and SMS alerts for transaction tracking.

A single digital procurement and payment system can reduce reliance on intermediaries and improve transparency and timeliness of payments to tribal tin collectors.
