Rowghat, Chhattisgarh6 Oct 2026
The 95-km Dallirajhara–Rowghat rail line project in Chhattisgarh is nearing completion, with the 17.5-km Tadoki–Rowghat final section described as almost complete. The project has obtained Commission of Railway Safety (CRS) authorisation to run passenger train operations, and rail officials said only minor tasks remain before trains run up to Rowghat.
Why it matters
Passenger rail service to Rowghat would extend direct connectivity in the Bastar region and is also expected to support movement of goods including iron ore toward Bhilai Steel Plant, as stated in the report.
