HFCL board approved ₹820 crore additional capex for optical fibre capacity expansion

HFCL said in a regulatory filing that its board approved additional capacity expansion capex of about ₹820 crore for optical fibre, optical fibre cable, and preform. Combined with a previously approved ₹980 crore, HFCL’s total planned capex for these capacity enhancements is about ₹1,800 crore, including added capacities of 46 lakh fibre km/year (optical fibre), 56.4 lakh fibre km/year (optical fibre cable), and 300 MT/year (preform).
