Talcher Fertilisers and NTPC submitted applications for coal gasification incentive scheme

India’s Ministry of Coal said Talcher Fertilisers Ltd (TFL) and NTPC Ltd have submitted applications via the online portal for the coal/lignite gasification incentive scheme ahead of the September 7 deadline. The scheme follows a Union Cabinet-approved ₹37,500 crore package to promote surface coal and lignite gasification, with applications accepted in rolling rounds.
