NCSK announced a missed-call grievance facility for safai karmacharis from Aug 23

The National Commission for Safai Karmacharis (NCSK) said it will introduce a missed-call facility to allow safai karmacharis to register grievances. The facility is scheduled to launch on August 23, 2026, on NCSK’s foundation day, and will be run as a pilot to gauge grievance volumes, with a call centre planned later based on the data, according to an NCSK official.

This creates an easier, low-cost channel for workers to submit complaints, which can improve grievance intake and follow-up compared with in-person or paperwork-heavy processes.
