Planet Scuba India launched iNDiC, an indigenous diving equipment brand

Planet Scuba India announced the launch of iNDiC, described as India’s first indigenous diving equipment brand, covering diving systems, underwater electronics and marine mobility systems. The company said development and manufacturing for the brand will be in India, and that several iNDiC technologies are at various stages of testing (including PranKosh, Meen CR, SagarCom, Garuda and Matsya).
Why it matters
If realised as described, it adds an India-based capability to design and manufacture professional/defence-oriented underwater diving equipment that has largely been sourced from international manufacturers.
