T-Mobile and Reliance Jio establish a 5G standalone roaming connection

T-Mobile said it achieved a 5G standalone (SA) roaming connection with Reliance Jio, using Syniverse technology, according to a joint statement reported by ET Telecom. The companies said this enables T-Mobile customers to experience 5G SA roaming while travelling internationally.

5G SA roaming between networks can support lower-latency, more reliable international connectivity needed for services like IoT and real-time communications when users travel.
