Supreme Court launched Hindi public information service ‘Jan Soochna Seva’

On September 14, 2026, the Supreme Court announced the launch of ‘Jan Soochna Seva’, a public information service in Hindi. It will provide simplified Hindi summaries of selected significant judgments and orders, along with Hindi audio and video bulletins of about 15–30 minutes; the Court said work will be undertaken to add other Indian languages in phases.
Why it matters
The service is intended to make key Supreme Court decisions easier to understand for citizens, including people who struggle with lengthy legal documents or need audio/video formats.
