SBM(G) Phase II reports liquid waste management coverage in 5.63 lakh villages

Government data reported by states and Union Territories on the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) IMIS shows that over 5.63 lakh out of 5.87 lakh villages are covered with liquid waste management arrangements as of 2026-08-07. The government also reported that over 42.98 lakh community grey water management assets (such as soak pits, drainage facilities and community treatment systems) have been recorded on the IMIS as of the same date.
