India disbursed ₹36,754 crore in PLI incentives through June 30, 2026: DPIIT
30 Jun 2026
DPIIT data cited by The Hindu BusinessLine says the government has disbursed ₹36,754 crore to beneficiary companies under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes from their 2020 launch through June 30, 2026, including ₹1,400 crore in the fiscal year up to June 30. The largest cumulative disbursal was to large-scale electronics manufacturing (₹19,090.98 crore), with other sector-wise disbursals also reported (e.g., pharma ₹6,662 crore; food products ₹3,271.44 crore; auto & components ₹3,174.15 crore).
Why it matters
These incentive payouts indicate actual execution of the PLI program and provide a measurable signal of support flowing to manufacturers across multiple sectors, rather than only policy intent.
