Gujarat registered 63.35 lakh farmers in its Aadhaar-linked Farmer Registry

Gujarat has registered more than 63.35 lakh farmers under its Farmer Registry, which links farmers’ Aadhaar-based identity with verified land records under the Centre’s Digital Agriculture Mission. The registry enables eligible farmers to obtain a Unique Farmer ID and is continuing to integrate farmers’ land records into the digital system, according to an official release cited in the report.
Why it matters
A verified digital farmer ID tied to land records can reduce repeated document checks and improve beneficiary verification for schemes and services such as PM-KISAN, procurement/MSP processes, and agricultural credit.
