Foundation stone laid for 150 TPD e-methanol plant at Gandhidham (Kandla), Gujarat

Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) and Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd (APCL) laid the foundation stone for a 150 tonnes-per-day e-methanol plant at Gandhidham in Kutch, Gujarat. The project is estimated to cost ₹2,300 crore and is being developed as a joint venture to supply cleaner fuel to the maritime sector and support green-fuel storage/handling/bunkering at Kandla Port.
Why it matters
If built as planned, the plant would add local production capacity for e-methanol to support cleaner marine fuels and port-side bunkering operations at Kandla.
