Aditya Birla Group launched Ultravolt wires and cables business; Jhagadia plant set up

Aditya Birla Group announced its entry into the wires and cables business under the brand Ultravolt, housed under UltraTech Cement Ltd, with an investment of ₹1,800 crore. The company said it has set up a new manufacturing facility at Jhagadia in Bharuch district, Gujarat, and launched a portfolio including home wires, flexible wires and cables for multiple applications.
Why it matters
A new domestic manufacturing facility and product launch can add capacity in wires and cables used across housing, industrial and infrastructure electrification needs.
