Bhagwati Products' display and precision moulding projects approved under ECMS

Bhagwati Products Ltd (Micromax arm) said its ₹1,015 crore investment plan for mobile phone display manufacturing in Bawal (Rewari, Haryana) and precision moulding at its Greater Noida facility has been approved by the Ministry of Electronics and IT under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). The company stated the projects are expected to commence production in 2026.
Why it matters
If these projects start production as stated, they add domestic capacity for electronics components (displays and moulded parts), reducing reliance on imports for smartphone manufacturing supply chains.
