Centre sanctioned ₹776.29 crore to upgrade EV testing agencies under PM E-Drive

Senior government officials said the Centre has sanctioned ₹776.29 crore under PM E-Drive to upgrade automotive testing infrastructure for electric vehicles and other emerging technologies. The funding covers ICAT (Manesar), ARAI (Pune), GARC (Chennai) and NATRAX (Indore), aimed at preparing facilities for EVs, batteries, clean technologies and advanced automotive components.
