Location not reported3 Oct 2026
IG Defence said it successfully test-fired two solid rocket motors for its JWALA short-range surface-to-air micro-missile interceptor, a milestone ahead of integrating components into the full missile system. The company said JWALA is expected to move into system-level testing and a first experimental flight trial in the coming months.
Why it matters
Successful propulsion subsystem tests are a step toward an indigenous hard-kill counter-drone interceptor system moving from component development to integrated testing.
