IHMCL invited EoI to build next-generation 1033 highway helpline platform

Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL), promoted by NHAI, invited an expression of interest for development, deployment, operation and maintenance of a proposed next-generation 1033 National Highway helpline and call centre. NHAI said the upgraded platform is planned to add AI-based features including real-time caller location tracking, multi-language call processing, and intelligent dispatch for emergency assistance.
Why it matters
If implemented, the upgrade could shorten time-to-assistance on national highways by improving caller location identification and coordinating dispatch of ambulances, cranes and patrol vehicles.
