SCHWING Stetter to shift three assembly lines from US and Germany to India
Jamshedpur, Jharkhand17 Sept 2026
SCHWING Stetter India said it is shifting three assembly lines—one from the US and two from Germany—to India to manufacture products for those markets. The company also cited expanded manufacturing capacity, including a new 10-acre facility in Jamshedpur with about 1 lakh sq ft built-up area and an additional 2 lakh sq ft added at an existing factory this year.
Why it matters
Moving overseas assembly lines and adding floor space increases India-based manufacturing capacity for export-oriented construction equipment production.
