Airbus contracts Mahindra Aerostructures to supply A320neo/A321XLR fuselage skins from Bengaluru

Airbus awarded Mahindra Aerostructures a multi-year contract to manufacture and supply rear-fuselage and tail-section fuselage skins for the A320neo and A321XLR. The parts will be produced at Mahindra Aerostructures’ Bengaluru facility and supplied to Airbus’ Augsburg, Germany plant; engineering and qualification work is stated to be underway, with deliveries targeted to begin in 2028.
Why it matters
It expands India-based aerostructure manufacturing work in Airbus’ commercial aircraft supply chain and supports capability build-out at Mahindra’s Bengaluru facility.
