Alteon raised $2.5M pre-seed to develop long-endurance autonomous aircraft

Bengaluru-based startup Alteon raised $2.5 Mn (about ₹24 Cr) in a pre-seed round led by Lachy Groom with participation from Together Fund. The company said it will use the capital to advance its autonomous dynamic-soaring technology, scale R&D, and work toward deploying fleets of wind-powered autonomous aircraft over the ocean.
Why it matters
Committed funding can accelerate development and testing of ultra-long-endurance autonomous aircraft that could support persistent ocean monitoring and surveillance without conventional refuelling infrastructure.
