Karnataka clears ₹27-crore cloud-seeding programme; flights to begin in three days

Karnataka is set to start a ₹27-crore cloud-seeding exercise in about three days after technical and administrative clearances were completed on August 25, 2026. The programme is planned for 200 flying hours over 60 days across all four revenue divisions, with flight routes based on real-time cloud density and atmospheric conditions.
Why it matters
