Karnataka signs ₹1,750 crore ADB agreement to develop 500 public schools as KPS

Karnataka’s School Education Department signed an agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for a ₹2,500 crore programme to develop 500 government schools as Karnataka Public Schools (KPS), with ₹1,750 crore from ADB and ₹750 crore from the State government. The programme is to be implemented over four years through 2029–30, and about 100 detailed project reports have already been prepared, according to the report.
