Karnataka initiated procurement process for about 15,000 new state transport buses

Karnataka has initiated the process to procure around 15,000 new buses through its four state-owned transport corporations, according to The Hindu. The buses are to be purchased in phases depending on availability of funds, with the stated aim of improving connectivity in transport-deprived areas including rural regions.
