Simple Energy raised Rs 1,750 crore ($180m) in an all-equity funding round

Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy said it raised Rs 1,750 crore ($180 million) in an all-equity funding round led by Dr Arokiaswamy Velumani’s family office, with participation from company founders, an HNI investor, and the Haran Family Office. The company said it will use the capital to build a new manufacturing facility next to its existing plant, increase production capacity, and expand its retail footprint and service network.
