Bengaluru–Ernakulam Vande Bharat to run with 16 coaches from Aug 17

Southern Railway has augmented the KSR Bengaluru–Ernakulam Junction Vande Bharat Express (Train Nos. 26651/26652) from 8 to 16 coaches. The 16-coach rake is set to operate in both directions six days a week starting Monday, ahead of the Onam travel rush.
Why it matters
Doubling the rake length increases seat capacity on a high-demand inter-state route, reducing waitlists and improving passenger throughput during peak travel periods.
