A ₹56.5-crore project to lay a road to Sri Sidilu Mallikarjuna Swamy hill-shrine at Bettadapura in Periyapatna taluk, Mysuru district, was launched, marking commencement of the work, The Hindu reported.
Why it matters
If completed as planned, the road would provide vehicle access to the hill, making the shrine easier to reach for devotees and visitors.
