BEML unveiled BH60-EV 60-ton electric mining dump truck at its Mysuru Complex

BEML Limited unveiled the BH60-EV, a 60-ton electric dump truck designed and developed at its Mysuru Complex for mining and infrastructure operations. BEML described it as India’s first indigenously designed and developed 60-ton electric dump truck and said it is supported by an offering that includes a charging station solution for site deployment.
Why it matters
It expands electrification from road vehicles into heavy mining and infrastructure equipment, potentially reducing diesel use and enabling lower-emission operations where compatible charging infrastructure can be installed.
