Piling work nears completion for Aroor railway bridge on Ernakulam–Alappuzha doubling

Southern Railway officials reviewed the ongoing construction of bridge No. 31 (Aroor railway bridge) in the Alappuzha–Ernakulam section and said the piling work is almost completed; girder launching is expected to begin soon. The bridge is part of the Ernakulam–Alappuzha–Ambalappuzha doubling project, including the Kumbalam–Turavur stretch, where about 30% of physical work has been completed and the overall works are targeted for completion by March 31, 2028.
