Kerala sanctions ₹10 crore for S.A. Road surface rectification in Kochi

Kerala’s Finance department decided to sanction ₹10 crore to the Kochi Corporation to carry out rectification works on a 3.10-km stretch of Sahodaran Ayyappan (S.A.) Road from Vytilla metro station to Manorama Junction, as informed to the Kerala High Court. The department said the amount will be released once the Corporation completes procedural formalities to commence the work.
Why it matters
If executed, the resurfacing and associated safety markings/studs are intended to reduce hazardous undulations near metro pillars and improve traffic safety on a major urban corridor.
