Wellness hub for gig workers inaugurated in Kochi

A wellness hub for gig workers was inaugurated in Kochi on September 23, 2026, as part of Kerala’s State government 100-day action programme. The Labour department-established centre provides rest and welfare amenities including seating, toilets, Wi‑Fi and charging points, and is staffed for two daily shifts.
Why it matters
It creates a dedicated, staffed rest facility that can improve safety and basic working conditions for gig workers who spend long hours on the road.
