Technical sanction issued for Phase 1 of KSRTC bus terminal at Karikkamury, Kochi

The Keralam government issued technical sanction to the Public Works Department to execute the ₹13-crore first phase of the proposed KSRTC bus terminal at Karikkamury in Kochi. The PWD is expected to invite construction tenders in early September, and the single-storey first phase will include dedicated bus bays with provision for later vertical expansion.

Technical sanction enables tendering and contracting to begin, moving the Kochi KSRTC terminal project from proposal toward construction and a more resilient terminal than the waterlogging-prone existing facility.
