People’s Plan Campaign 2.0 launched in Kerala with website and student internship plan

A year-long action plan for “People’s Plan Campaign 2.0” was launched in Kerala, including a proposed programme to encourage college students to do subject-based internships with local self-government institutions (LSGIs). A comprehensive website on the process was launched on August 16, 2026, and a high-power committee to steer the initiative was formed the same day.
Why it matters
If implemented, the internship programme and coordinating website could create a structured channel for student participation in local governance and decentralised planning in Kerala.
