Thiruvananthapuram Corporation drew up project to remove untagged overhead cables

Thiruvananthapuram Corporation has prepared a project to cut and remove overhead telephone/Internet cables that were put up “unscientifically,” starting with untagged cables and cleaning the rest using machines. The project is planned across 101 wards, with Palayam, Fort, Kannammoola, Thycaud and Perunthanni selected for the first phase; the corporation said it will remove the cables and seek compensation from utility providers.
