Kerala Agricultural University transferred chocolate-making technology to Kothamangalam APC

Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Vellanikkara, transferred a chocolate-making technology developed by its Cocoa Research Centre to the Kothamangalam Agriculture Producer Company, according to The Hindu BusinessLine. The technology was formally handed over to the company’s CEO, and KAU said it will provide technical support until the enterprise achieves self-sufficiency.
Why it matters
The transfer enables a farmer producer company to make value-added cocoa products, which can increase income opportunities beyond selling raw cocoa.
