JSW Greentech says its Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar e-CV plant will start production in a month

JSW Greentech has invested ₹2,500 crore in an electric commercial vehicle manufacturing facility at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Maharashtra) with a stated capacity of 15,000 EVs per year. The company says the plant is scheduled to start commercial production within a month and that its electric CV brand 'Ampstar' has been launched.
Why it matters
If commercial production starts as scheduled, this adds domestic manufacturing capacity for electric trucks and buses and could accelerate deployments in heavy-transport use cases within India.
